Term 1 2026 - Newsletter

Welcome to gymnastics 2026

Registrations for Term 1 classes open on Tuesday 27 January, classes commence Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 February 2026.

Classes this term are, Tuesday: Junior Recreational 3.30-4.15pm (6-7yrs)

Senior Recreational 4.15-5.15pm (8+yrs)

And Wednesday: Junior Recreational 4.30-5.15pm. (5-6yrs)

The costs of recreational classes is $75. for the term.  If you have any amount outstanding you will not be able to register your child, please contact us if you are unable to pay, payment options are available if needed.

We cannot offer gymnastics to children without volunteers and are especially grateful to those who have helped and continue to help us,  we are again needing parents to help with coaching, supervising, gear moving and committee.

Gear moving - we really need some more hands to help with this.  Please let us know if you can assist for 30mins on a Tuesday, between 12.30pm-2.30pm.

Coaching - we'd love to build our team to increase what we can offer, and support Claire in her wonderful efforts. No experience is needed, and there are excellent education opportunities through Gymnastics NZ which the club will fully support.

Committee - new members are always welcome, again no experience needed with meetings 4-6 weekly, consider joining our team, we'd love to have some new faces along

House Keeping

• Children should not wear jewellery or loose clothing,no belt buckles or zips in shorts,clothes from stretchy material are the
• A reminder also to have long hair tied up,in a style that is comfortable for forward-rolling and gymnastic moves.
• Please drop off and pick up children promptly from within the stadium(NOT the carpark),and we request those under the age of 8 have an adult present during sessions.
• There is a change room/toilet available off the side of the main gym, if you are unsure where, please ask.
• The car park can be very busy,please reverse into the parks.

Minigym

We are unable to find a volunteer to lead the group and are currently in discussions with another Alexandra group who maybe able to take over our sessions, unfortunately until further notice we are unable to offer Minigym.  We will keep you informed on developments regarding these sessions.
